To all sports enthusiasts who want to rediscover the thrill of adventure and direct contact with nature, we offer beautiful natural trails for trekking and mountain biking.

At centro equestre “Lo Scoiattolo”  About 2 km from the country house, facilities are available for horseback riding along the scenic trails of our hills. You can also play golf at the beautiful 18-hole course in Castelfalfi, which includes a practice green and bunker, or at the 9-hole course in San Miniato.

For those wishing to enjoy a wellness-focused holiday, just 12 km from our country house lies the exclusive thermal spa of thermal spa of Casciana Terme where you can benefit from thermal treatments, spa therapies, cosmetic care, and more.

In the heart of Tuscany

The location of Alpaca Country House is extremely convenient for reaching Tuscany's most important cultural and artistic centers such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, and Volterra. The sea is approximately 30 km away.

Alpaca Country House is situated in Montecastello, a hamlet of Pontedera: very close to the FI-PI-LI highway exit, 25 km from Pisa Airport, and just 20 minutes from the sea. Nearby is the town of Pontedera, which has a train station, shopping centers, cinemas, a swimming pool, and tourist attractions.

About 1.5 km from our farmhouse lies the small medieval village of Montecastello, reachable via a country road that winds harmoniously through the landscape. Amid olive groves and fruit trees, the path itself becomes a delightful discovery of the area's wonders. Once in the village, you can relax at the charming bar and enjoy breakfast or aperitifs. For groceries, there's Manuela's shop, where you can purchase typical Tuscan products.

Scattered across the surrounding countryside like enchantments, countless hamlets and farmhouses stand as testaments to a bygone rural civilization. As you take in the landscape, you’ll relive ancient times and old traditions, reawakening long-dormant emotions. Here, past and present merge, immersing you in the magical atmosphere unique to certain parts of Tuscany.

Just 10 minutes from the country house in Lajatico, you'll find the famous Teatro del Silenzio ("Theater of Silence"), created by renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. Every July, this unique open-air theater hosts the internationally acclaimed Bocelli Event, drawing music lovers from around the world.
